The Republicans have always locked horns with the Democrats during every presidential election and just like the Democratic Party, the Republicans too have millions of supporters across the United States. It has been observed that the Republicans have constantly tried to promote capitalism and strived for improvement in trade. The legendary Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican candidate to be elected to the President’s office. The current president of the United States, Donald Trump, is also a member of the president of the Republican Party. Richard Nixon, Dwight D Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan are a few other famous republican leaders.
