Sharon Stone was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania to Joseph William Stone II, who worked in the tool and die manufacturing industry and Dorothy, a housewife and accountant.
In 1975, she graduated from the Saegertown High School in Saegertown, Pennsylvania. She also participated in the Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant and won the Miss Crawford County title.
