Candice King is an American actress who walked up the stardom status playing the role of Caroline Forbes in the super hit CW series ‘The Vampire Diaries’. Though Candice achieved fame as an actor, she first started out her career as a singer. In 2009, she released her debut album ‘It’s Always the Innocent Ones’ in United States. For it, she penned 12 out of the 14 tracks in the album. Simultaneously, she worked on her acting career as well, guest starring in a couple of shows including ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and ‘Greek’. Childhood & Early Life
Candice Rene King (Accola) was born on May 13, 1987 in Houston, Texas to Carolyn (Clark) and Kevin Accola. Her mother was an environmental engineer turned homemaker and her father was a cardiothoracic surgeon. She has a younger brother. She has English, Romansh-Swiss, French, and Norwegian ancestry.

Career
Candice King’s career as a singer started in December 2006 when she released her debut album ‘It’s Always the Innocent Ones’, independently in United States. She wrote 12 of the 14 songs of the album; the two songs she didn’t write were a cover of 'Til Tuesday's hit song ‘Voices Carry’ and American Hi-Fi's ‘The Breakup Song’.
In 2008, ‘It’s Always the Innocent Ones’ was re-released in Japan and was quite successful. During the aame time, she toured for Miley Cyrus's Best of Both Worlds Tour as a backing singer. She also appeared as herself in the 3D concert film ‘Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert’.
Alongside singing, Candice took up acting projects. She guest starred in a couple of shows including ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Greek’. In 2008, she appeared in the horror film, ‘Deadgirl’ and played a small part in ‘The Hannah Montana Movie’.
