Film & Theater Personalities
Film & Theater personalities work at different capacities and levels in films or theater productions. Even though the term is loosely used to refer to actors and actresses who bring to life the characters they portray on stage or screen, the phrase actually covers a wider range of professionals without whose contributions no film or play can be made. The process of filmmaking begins with a vision created by the director who directs the artistic and cinematic aspects of realizing this vision. A stage director on the other hand has to oversee the setting up of a theatrical production. The casting director selects the actors to play the various roles after auditions while the cinematographer supervises the camera and lighting crews. The art director is responsible for the overseeing the artistic aspects of filmmaking and has to ensure that the overall visual appearance communicates to the audience what the film or play desires to convey. The movements in dance sequences are coordinated by the choreographers, while the action directors manage the stunts and help to create an illusion of physical combat without causing any physical harm to the actors. The overall success of a play or a film largely depends upon the degree of coordination among the various professionals involved in the production process.
