Candice King

Candice King is married to the musician Joe King. The two first met a Super Bowl event in 2012 and hit it off almost instantly. They dated for two year before getting married on October 18, 2014, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

After her marriage, she became a stepmom to King’s two daughters from his previous marriage. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter on January 2016.

Candice King is a Democrat. She strongly supported Democratic Presidential Nominee, Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential Election.

Candice Rene King (Accola) was born on May 13, 1987 in Houston, Texas to Carolyn (Clark) and Kevin Accola. Her mother was an environmental engineer turned homemaker and her father was a cardiothoracic surgeon. She has a younger brother. She has English, Romansh-Swiss, French, and Norwegian ancestry.

Raised in Edgewood, Florida, she attended Lake Highland Preparatory School.

Candice King’s career as a singer started in December 2006 when she released her debut album ‘It’s Always the Innocent Ones’, independently in United States. She wrote 12 of the 14 songs of the album; the two songs she didn’t write were a cover of 'Til Tuesday's hit song ‘Voices Carry’ and American Hi-Fi's ‘The Breakup Song’.

In 2008, ‘It’s Always the Innocent Ones’ was re-released in Japan and was quite successful. During the aame time, she toured for Miley Cyrus's Best of Both Worlds Tour as a backing singer. She also appeared as herself in the 3D concert film ‘Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert’.

Alongside singing, Candice took up acting projects. She guest starred in a couple of shows including ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Greek’. In 2008, she appeared in the horror film, ‘Deadgirl’ and played a small part in ‘The Hannah Montana Movie’.

In 2009, came the big breakthrough of Candice King’s career when she got the role of Caroline Forbes in The CW television series ‘The Vampire Diaries’. In it, she played one of the protagonists who was neurotic yet endearing and was love interest of many male characters. She was praised for her outstanding performance and exceptional acting skills.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ broke all records to become one of the most successful television series for The CW Its pilot episode attracted a whooping 4.9 million audience which is largest for any of the CW series premiere. Candice’s role as Caroline Forbes lasted throughout the eight seasons of the show.

Candice King's most famous role is her portrayal of Caroline Forbes on The CW's The Vampire Diaries. She continued to play her role until the eighth season in 2017. ‘The Vampire Diaries’ went on to become one of the most loved and most watched supernatural drama television series.
