Luciana Salazar is an Argentine model, singer and actress, who is the niece of actress Evangelina Salazar and singer Palito Ortega. Starting her career as a model, she established herself as a television and theatre actress, as well as a singer. Her first television role was on the show 'Poné a Francella' (The era of the penguin) in 2003. In 2004, she participated in 'El Show de Videomatch' (The Videomatch Show), a comedy show featuring videos of sports bloopers allegedly caught on hidden cameras. The same year she appeared on the Argentine sitcom 'Los Roldán'. In October 2004, she debuted on Chilean television after being invited by Televisión Nacional de Chile to appear on the program 'De pe a pa'. She also made guest appearance on the Spanish-language American television program 'Don Francisco presents'. The Meteoric Rise to Stardom
Luciana Salazar started her career at the tender age of three, appearing in a commercial video for Ford Taunus in 1983. According to her, she always knew that she would be in show business as she loved to act, pose and take pictures as a child. Despite the fact that she was born as a member of the famous Ortega clan, she initially decided to become a model, instead of pursuing acting or music like her cousins. In January 1993, she started participating in various ad campaigns as a model.
She continued her modeling work for about a decade before making her television debut on January 3, 2003 in the comedy show 'Poné a Francella'. In 2003, she also made an appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America. The same year, she began her stage career with the play 'Pajamas'. Luciana Salazar was born on November 7, 1980, in Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina, to Fernando and Liliana Salazar. She was raised in the neighborhood of Belgrano with her three sisters, Marisol, Mayte and Camila. Her aunt is renowned Argentine actress Evangelina Salazar, who married the popular Argentine singer and actor Palito Ortega. She is the cousin of Ortega's six children Emanuel, Julieta, Luis, Martín, Rosario and Sebastián. She has worked with her cousins in a number of Ortega productions.
She attended the all-girls private Catholic school Colegio Nuestra Señora de la Misericordia in Belgrano, Capital Federal, where she studied Performing Arts and Song. She also took singing and dancing classes as a child.

She has been in a number of relationships over the years, starting with a fiery encounter with Mexican singer Luis Miguel in 2002.
