Daryl Kent Jones is an American rapper and record producer. He is best known for releasing the single "Don't Mind" which peaked at #8 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. He is also known for releasing the mix tapes ‘Tours’, ‘The LUH Tape’ and ‘Too Much Too Soon’. Jones first became involved in music through a local church. His interest turned to jazz and then he went on to explore the world of hip-hop, where he mainly admired the works of Timbaland and Dr. Dre, both of whom influenced Jones' music. A native of South Florida, the American singer/rapper played drums in his childhood days after receiving lessons from his musically inclined aunt. As his love for music increased, he also learned to play a few other instruments, such as the piano and the Hammond organ. Jones, who is currently signed to ‘We the Best Entertainment label,’ is a singer with a unique voice. Kent Jones initially worked with songwriters/ record producers Cool & Dre, signing a deal with their label Epidemic Records. In 2015, he signed a joint venture record deal with DJ Khaled’s We the Best Music Group and Epic Records. The same year, Jones released his first ever mix tape ‘Tours’. The mix tape’s most successful track “Don't Mind" was later released as a single. Soon after this, the American rapper came out with his second mix tape titled “Too Much Too Soon” that consisted of songs like "Sit Down". In February 2017, he released his mix tape “The LUH Tape”.
