Griffin Arnlund - Social Media Personality, Timeline and Personal Life

Arnlund who was just another teenager in the neighbourhood a few years back who dreamt of pursuing a career as an actress in the entertainment industry. She took to social media with Instagram, which till present remains her largest platform with a count of more than 455K followers. As social media has taken a relevant place in today’s world with the younger generation specially the teens getting more drawn towards the several platforms it has to offer, Arnlund like many other youngsters delved into YouTube at 15 years of age. Although she launched her channel on August 15, 2013, she uploaded her first video after a few months on January 4, 2014. She started uploading lifestyle videos and with time shared her tips and special tricks with her viewers regarding fashion and beauty, the subjects that she developed an interest in. She is associated with e.l.f. cosmetics and has also attended BeautyCon. Her uploads also include videos consisting of her commentaries on her current status, developments and other aspects of her life. Soon she zoomed up the popularity chart compared to other teens and accumulated a tremendous fanbase within a short span. According to her, social media has inadvertently aided her in preparing herself in many ways that probably her conventional acting lessons wouldn’t have.

Garnering a name and a position in the social media as a YouTube personality, she endeavoured into using the platform for some crucial and sensitive social causes like domestic violence, bullying and sexism that are very much in the league, but often elude our mind amidst all fun, glitz and glamour. The crude lessons encompassing an appalling bullying experience that life inflicted on her while she was in her 10th grade compelled her to withdraw from her school and complete her education online. A later phase was marked with her recovery that included advocating and standing up for oneself in front of odds. This whole episode inspired her to pass on such experience to numerous others. She resolved to stand up and take anti-bullying initiatives so that others can prepare themselves to combat such oddities. This way she has touched lives of so many people, especially youngsters and has become an inspirational role model who influences her viewers in a positive manner. She believes that if someone has a decent viewership then he/she can use such platform to influence people positively and inspire them with positive comments and posts.

She was born on October 24, 1997, in Montana, a western state of the US. When she was in her 6th grade she relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona. Later at 17 years of age she relocated to Los Angeles, California to further her career. Currently she is dating YouTuber Mikey Murphy. She had posted a boyfriend tag on YouTube with him in December 2015. Many a times she uploads pictures that feature her with Mikey on Instagram.

She is inspired by American actress and singer Selena Gomez and had uploaded a picture of herself with Gomez in November 2014 on her Instagram account.
