Amber Davies auditioned for ‘The X Factor’ multiple times as a dancer through ‘Cirque Le Soir’ and once as a singer, but all those attempts were unsuccessful. According to her parents, Davies rejected the initial offer to appear on ‘Love Island’. The producers reached out to her and she eventually consented to be part of the show. She even said “no” to a lead role in the touring production of the musical ‘Hairspray’ to participate in the show.

According to her parents, Davies had always been “a bit of a character and a little bit of rebellious when she was at school.” When she was just 13 or 14 years old, she already wanted to party hard. In November 2017, it was revealed that the couple had split after having problems for several months. Davies and Cetinay released a statement shortly after, in which they confirmed that news.

After separating from Cetinay, she briefly dated Pete Wicks, who has been a cast member of ITV’s reality series ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ and reportedly flirted with singer-songwriter Olly Murs. Davies was introduced to Essex-native James Hawkins by footballer Bradley Dack, who is in a relationship with Davies’ friend Olivia Attwood. In June 2018, Davis stated that her romance with Hawkins had “fizzled out”.
