Sofia’s initial claim to fame may be that she is the youngest daughter of iconic musician Lionel Richie, but since her debut as a model in 2014, she has carved out a stable niche for herself among the hottest glitterati of Hollywood and Fashion world.

Before her modeling career, Sofia was a regular in her sister Nicole Richie’s TV show based on her own life, ‘Candidly Nicole’ that aired on VH1.

Her first spread appeared in the revered Elle Magazine’s ‘Who What Wear’ feature spread. The magazine has huge circulation worldwide and Sofia’s face became instantly recognizable after the feature. Very soon she bagged a number of lucrative gigs including features in magazines like Nation A-list Magazine where Sofia was featured on the cover-story and teamed up with Teen Vogue and Olay Skincare to promote the #FreshtoSchool online campaign.

The same year she became the face of Mary Grace Swim and was signed on by the Select Model Management. In 2015, her modeling career exploded as she bagged one big campaign after another. She did editorial spread for Elle, Vanity Fair Italia, Unleash'd, Love Culture and was featured in the cover of the Popular and ASOS Magazine. She also landed commercial campaigns for brands like Brandy Melville, and Young & Reckless.

While legendary pop icon Madonna declared Sofia as the face of her exclusive clothing line Material Girlin Fall, 2015, designer Stella McCartney reached out to Sofia to attend the Met Ball, 2015, as her personal guest.

During 2016 and early 2017, Sofia was seen to grace the covers of magazines like Galore, W and Flaunt, and her then partner, Justin Beiber, came out on social media and praised her.

She has also modeled for top brands like Tommy Hilfiger in the Denim Spring/Summer 2017 line, Moschino, Pretty Little Things, Adidas Originals and Foot Locker. She is currently considering a career in movies and is talking with big names in Hollywood.

Sofia was born to Lionel Richie and his ex-wife Diane Alexander who is a designer. She is 17 years younger to her famous sister, Nicole Richie, and is extremely close to her. She idolizes her big sister who in return adores Sofia. She also has an older brother, Miles. Sofia can play piano and aspires to have a career in music like her dad.

With the paparazzi constantly following her with their lenses, Sofia apparently seem very comfortable in her role of a teen fashion icon. Her style is very sexy and she is effortlessly graceful. She was known to be in a relationship with another star kid and established actor/musician, Jaden Smith, son of Actor Will Smith between 2012 and 2013. After their break-up, Sofia went on to date Jake Andrews, fellow model in 2014. It was hinted that Sofia dated French Footballer, Samir Nasri, briefly before moving on to her high profile relationship with Singer and Teen idol, Justin Beiber. Sadly, the relationship did not last and the two parted ways in late 2016. Since then Sofia has been linked to model Brooklyn Beckham, son of English power couple David and Victoria Beckham.
