Robin Birrell is a German social media personality and prankster who is best known for his YouTube channel 'robinbirrell' in which he posts mostly videos of him playing pranks on others, especially people close to him like his mother, his brother YouTuber Jamie Birrell and his girlfriend Emma Crompton, who makes regular appearances on his channel. The two often pranks each other in Emma vs. Robin revenge style, which keeps his fans hooked to the channel. In just over two years, he has been able to gather over two million subscribers. Some of his pranks have been covered by viral video shows like the American television show 'Right This Minute'. He also has a second channel, ‘robinbirrellvlogs’, in which he posts vlogs, exploring videos, real life stories, question and answer videos, and much more. The very next day, he posted his first ever video on the channel, titled 'Tanning Prank on Brother', which featured his brother Jamie Birrell, who also had a YouTube channel already. On December 27, 2015, he uploaded his second video, 'Vegan Eats Meat Prank – On Girlfriend! (Goes Crazy)', which became very popular and has received over 3.2 million views so far.

In a video posted on May 1, 2016, his mother took revenge on him for playing prank on her many times by making her vegan son a sandwich filled with live mealworms which she reveals only after he takes the first bite. His brother is also a YouTube star. Actually, he had created his YouTube channel back in October 2012, long before his elder brother. He started posting videos in January 2014 and also posted mostly prank videos, but his channel grew slower than his elder brother Robin's. The two brothers often feature in each other’s YouTube channel. Their mother also makes appearances occasionally.
