Alex was born on July 30, 1986, in Inglewood, southwestern Los Angeles County, California, United States. His parents had Mexican ancestry. He was raised along with his two elder brothers by his mother singlehandedly.

He considered his two elder brothers as his role models and as he grew up around them he got to learn the knowhow of surviving in the streets. In his early years, he became a member of a gang, dropped out of his school and became a father. He was kept in juvenile hall for some time and then released under house arrest.

He developed an ear for Hip Hop music after he started listening to artists like Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, RBL Posse, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E in the early 1990s. He was so inspired by the lyrics and compositions of these artists that he started penning down his own lyrics when he was just twelve years of age. He also took inspiration from the Mexican folk ballads called ‘corridos’ music.

Although he never contemplated taking up music as his career, the dark early phase of his life gradually secluded him. He would find solace in writing songs during his stay in the juvenile hall and also under house arrest. Gradually, he started giving expression to his thoughts in the form of rap. Thus his own personal experiences and struggles formed the main sources of his materials. One of the primary themes of his music is his pain of growing up without his father around.

Even though nobody relied or came up to help him initially, the determined rapper went on with his resolve and endeavours in music and gradually evolved as one of the rising rappers of the industry. Although he received offers from all major labels, Gonzalez decided to independently develop his career.

On January 1, 2004, he released his album ‘LA County’s Most Wanted’ through PR Records. Some of the songs of the album are ‘Where We Roll,’ ‘My Gangster Ways,’ ‘Living Life Like a Gangster,’ and ‘Mind of the Criminal.’

His next album titled ‘Underground Chpt. 1’ included track such as ‘We Put It Down,’ ‘Look in My Eyes,’ I’m Outta Control,’ and ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Right’ gave him initial recognition.

In 2008, he released a Gangsta style Hip Hop mixtape, ‘Blue Devil Mixtape,’ that consisted of ten tracks, including ‘Want Me Back,’ ‘Intoxicated,’ and ‘Be A Better Man.’ The following year, he produced another Gangsta style album titled ‘Hood Money’ that was released by PR Records. This album had seventeen tracks, including ‘Fantasy,’ ‘Sucio In My Blood,’ No Sunshine,’ ‘Ecstasy,’ and ‘Legx Up.’

He maintained his standard-issue slow-flow West Coast Gangsta rap approach in his next album, ‘Blue Devil Part 2.’ Assisted by Big Downer, the album was released through AK47 Boyz Records. The same year, he released his LP ‘King Enemy’ through AK47 Boyz Records. This 17-track album displaying his slow-and-low rhyme style surprisingly included some romantic tracks, such as ‘Midnite’ and ‘Forget Your Boyfriend.’

Moving on, he came up with ‘Lost in Smoke’ Mixtape in 2013, which was followed by ‘AK47 Boyz’ Mixtape that was released through MIH Entertainment LLC., on May 27, 2014. It stands at the top of his well-received albums list. Out of the 13 songs of the album, the single titled ‘Hopeless Boy’ featuring David Ortiz is counted as one of the most popular songs of the Latino rapper.

He furthered his fame with the album ‘90's Kid’ released on March 10, 2015 via AK47 Boyz Records.

He turned down an offer of a major label in 2016 and signed with ‘Del Records.’ In April, he released ‘Lost in Smoke 2’ via ‘Del Records.’ The album comprised 15 songs, including ‘F^^k with You,’ ‘Texas Cups Cali Blunts,’ ‘Dope,’ and ‘Look How Far.’

’Blessed By God’ Mixtape was released by him in February 2017. Some of the 12 songs of the mixtape are ‘Best Friend Judah,’ ‘Cash Rule$,’ ‘The Youth,’ ‘Kennedy’ and ‘California Dreamin.’

His album, ‘Paint the City Blue,’ was released through Empire 47 on March 9, 2018. There are 12 tracks in the album, including songs like ‘Fifth of May’ and ‘Capital G’.

He directs his own music videos and wants to direct films one day. His music videos have already garnered huge popularity on his YouTube channel, ‘9LILG,’ which has over 627K subscribers. He is also popular on other social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter.

Motivated by his own struggles, trials, and ordeals, which only led him to learn from life and shape himself the way he is today, the Latino rapper launched the ‘Sucio Movement.’ It is a movement aimed at empowering young people coming from shady environment to make them understand that even after coming from such background, they can achieve great things.

He also has his clothing line, ‘Sucios.’

His son, Daniel Gonzales, more famous by stage name, ‘Baby Gunz,’ born on February 7, 2006 in Los Angeles, California, is an Instagram star. Daniel He featured in the mixtape, ‘AK47 Boyz,’ at the age of eight.

Gonzalez and his partner Kimberly welcomed their daughter, Lexi Juliette, in June 2018.
