Who is Hopsin?

Marcus Jamal Hopson, better known as Hopsin, is an American rapper and producer. He has also acted in a few movies and TV serials. During his early years, he appeared in a few minor acting roles and made his own music album, ‘Emurge,’ which was released online. He subsequently signed a contract with ‘Ruthless Records’ and released his debut album, ‘Gazing at the Moonlight.’ However, he decided to opt out of his contract due to differences with the record company. He then established the label ‘Funk Volume’ with Damien Ritter and released the mixtape ‘Haywire’ with SwizZz. His other studio albums include ‘Raw,’ ‘Knock Madness,’ and ‘Pound Syndrome.’ After ‘Funk Volume’ closed down, he formed his independent label, ‘Undercover Prodigy,’ through which he released ‘Ill Mind of Hopsin 8’ and his studio album ‘No Shame.’ He wears white contact lenses that distinguish him from other contemporary African–American rappers. He was in a relationship with an Australian makeup artist named Alyce Madden, with whom he later had a son. However, the relationship turned sour later, and she put a restraining order on him. The split affected Hopsin’s personal life adversely and led to bouts of depression, from which he later managed to recover with the help of his friends. He is a popular youth icon with a promising future.
