Sarah Wayne Callies first appeared in an episode of ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ in 2003. She then appeared in an episode of ‘Dragnet’ and ‘Queens Supreme’. Soon after this, she played detective Jane Porter in the drama ‘Tarzan’. The actress then guest-starred as agent Kim Hall in the series ‘Numb3rs’ in 2005. The same year, she was also cast as Sara Tancredi in the drama series ‘Prison Break’.
Two years later, in 2007, Callies acted in four episodes of ‘Queens Supreme’. Around this time, she also did the flick ‘Whisper’. She then had a role in the television film ‘Prison Break: The Final Break’. In the year 2010, Callies portrayed the character of Lori Grimes in the series ‘The Walking Dead’. The same year, she appeared in the movie ‘Lullaby for Pi’.
After this, she got featured in the films ‘Black Gold’, ‘Faces in the Crowd’, ‘Black November’, ‘Into the Storm’ and ‘Pay the Ghost’. Sarah Wayne Callies was born on June 1, 1977 in La Grange, Illinois, USA, to parents Valerie Wayne and David E. Callies. She attended Punahou School and while studying there, she participated in various school plays. Callies then enrolled at Dartmouth College in Hanover. She then continued her studies at National Theatre Conservatory from where she earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in the year 2002. The same year, she got married to Josh Winterhalt. Five years later, the couple had their daughter, Keala. They later on adopted a boy, Oakes Wayne, who was born in 2013.
