Peter K. McMahon - Business Executive, Birthday and Personal Life

Peter K. McMahon was born on June 6, 1954, in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. After his high school education, he enrolled himself at the ‘University of Liverpool.’ He graduated in 1976, with a bachelor’s degree in ‘Business Administration and Management.’ Soon after his college graduation, McMahon started his career as a distribution and supply chain director for the popular supermarket company ‘Sainsbury's,’ which is now the second largest chain of supermarkets in the UK. McMahon worked for the company from 1992 to 2000, serving in places like Northern England, Ireland, and Scotland.

After parting ways with ‘Sainsbury's,’ McMahon joined a multinational groceries and general merchandise retail company called ‘Tesco,’ which is now the third largest retailer in the world. He joined ‘Tesco’ in 2002 and started working as the supply chain director for the company’s Central European branch. In 2004, he joined the American retail giant ‘Walmart,’ which took him to Germany. In 2006, he became the CEO of the largest Canadian food retailer ‘Loblaw Companies Limited.’ He worked for the Canadian company from 2006 to 2013, before joining the American retail store, ‘Shopko.’ He’s been working for ‘Shopko’ as the President and CEO since 2013. Peter K. McMahon is renowned for his expertise in merchandising, Information Technology, human resource Management, loss prevention departments, and many other fields.

Peter K. McMahon met Dana Marie Perino in August 1997 while flying to Chicago. McMahon, who is 18 years older than Dana, never thought he would get to date Dana because of their age difference. However, Dana made the initial move by sharing her details with him. After spending some time with each other, they both knew they had a special connection and hence started dating right away. After dating for a few months, they got married in 1998 in England before heading to the Greek Island of Santorini for their 10-day honeymoon.

McMahon and Dana moved to Great Britain for a few years and then returned to the USA in November 2001. Dana subsequently joined the White House staff and went on to become the White House press secretary, which gave her the opportunity to work under the then president George W. Bush. In 2010, Barrack Obama appointed her as the member of the ‘Broadcasting Board of Governors.’ McMahon’s marriage with Dana Perino cast him in limelight throughout the United States. He even got his American citizenship in the year 2006, post which he settled down in the USA.

Peter K. McMahon had been married twice before marrying Dana Perino. He even has kids from his previous marriages and is now a grandfather through one of his children. In 2012, Dana was seen introducing McMahon’s grandchildren Sebastian and Rachel in an event. His children and grandchildren live in the UK. McMahon doesn’t have any children from his marriage with Dana. McMahon and Dana have been together since 1997 and currently live in Manhattan, New York City, New York, along with their pet dog Jasper.

McMahon made his debut audio book appearance in one of Dana’s books, ‘Let Me Tell You about Jasper.’ Before Jasper, McMahon and Dana owned another dog named Henry, which once got McMahon into trouble. In 2007, McMahon was fined $25 for walking his dog Henry without a leash. On April 12, McMahon was arrested for the offense when he failed to pay the fine within the first 15 days from receiving the ticket. He was then released after spending a day in jail.
