Career
Olivia O'Brien initially created an account on SoundCloud and began posting her covers. Eventually, she caught the attention of Los Angeles-based singer/producer Gnash after posting the cover of his song ‘Disposable’. The latter reached out to her expressing interest in hearing her original musical compositions. O’Brien then sent him her original song titled "i hate u, i love u." After listening to the song, Gnash invited her to record the song with him. In the year 2015, the song appeared online and the following year, it was released commercially as a single in Gnash’s album ‘us’.
In August 2016, O'Brien came out with her debut solo track "Trust Issues." A month later, she released her second single titled “Root Beer Float” featuring blackbear. Then on October 21, 2016, her third song titled "Find What You're Looking For" was released.
The American singer then released a new single titled "Empty" in February 2017. In July that year, she released the single "RIP" as well as its accompanying music video. On November 3, 2017, O'Brien released a song titled "No Love". Later that month, her debut EP titled ‘It's Not That Deep’ was also released. Then in January 2018, the singer was featured in Jack & Jack's single "Beg”.
