He gave the audition at the Chesapeake Energy Arena located in Downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, US on July 20, 2012. He impressed the judges by singing the hit song ‘I Wish’ by famous American singer and songwriter Stevie Wonders and won a Golden ticket that paved his way to the Hollywood round.
