At the age of 7, Cameron started his modeling career, appearing in the Disney Store catalogue. Since then, he has been featured in numerous print advertisements and also appeared in more than 20 commercials. In 2008, he debuted both on TV and films in a few months' gap. Cameron Boyce is of mixed ethnicity. His father Victor Boyce is an African American and his mother Libby Boyce is Jewish. He lives in Los Angeles with his parents and younger sister Maya. He has a pet dog named Cienna. Cameron's maternal grandmother, Jo Ann (Allen) Boyce, is one of "The Clinton 12", the twelve African American teens who were the first students to attend a desegregated southern public school, Clinton High School, in 1956. During the celebration of Black History Month, Cameron was featured on Disney’s featurette ‘Be Inspired’ where he talks about his personal connection to the historic event. The video shows him visiting for the first time ‘The Clinton 12’ bronze sculpture in Clinton, Tennessee, with his father, mother, sister and grandmother. In his free time, he likes to design his own shirts and caps.
