Buddy Handleson was born on November 1, 1999, in Danville, California, to Jay and Athena Handleson. His parents always wanted him to be part of the entertainment world. Although Buddy later grew up to be an actor, he was not too keen on acting initially. He was shy and when his parents set him up for a photo shoot when he was 3 years old, he ran away from the cameras.

Buddy attended the ‘Vista Grande School.’ Gradually, he gained the confidence to appear in front of the camera. At the age of 9, he finally landed the first role of his career.

In 2009, when ‘Disney’s show ‘Hannah Montana’ was at the very peak of its success, Buddy landed a small role for himself in the 16th episode of its third season, titled ‘Jake… Another Little Piece of My Heart.’ He played an unnamed character in the episode.

His first on-camera stint helped him gain confidence for further roles, and in the same year, he landed a slightly bigger role in the series ‘Trauma.’ He appeared in an episode of the fifth season of the show and played the role of ‘Lost Boy Jonah.’
