Buddy Handleson

In June 2017, Buddy Handleson shocked his entire fan base when he uploaded a photograph on ‘Instagram’ that showed him posing in front of a gay pride flag. The caption stated that he was gay and that he had become increasingly comfortable with his sexuality over the previous two years.

Buddy is dating Logan Quintana and does not hold back from showing his affection on various social-media platforms.

Buddy Handleson was born on November 1, 1999, in Danville, California, to Jay and Athena Handleson. His parents always wanted him to be part of the entertainment world. Although Buddy later grew up to be an actor, he was not too keen on acting initially. He was shy and when his parents set him up for a photo shoot when he was 3 years old, he ran away from the cameras.

Buddy attended the ‘Vista Grande School.’ Gradually, he gained the confidence to appear in front of the camera. At the age of 9, he finally landed the first role of his career.

In 2009, when ‘Disney’s show ‘Hannah Montana’ was at the very peak of its success, Buddy landed a small role for himself in the 16th episode of its third season, titled ‘Jake… Another Little Piece of My Heart.’ He played an unnamed character in the episode.

His first on-camera stint helped him gain confidence for further roles, and in the same year, he landed a slightly bigger role in the series ‘Trauma.’ He appeared in an episode of the fifth season of the show and played the role of ‘Lost Boy Jonah.’

In 2010, he appeared in the series ‘’Til Death,’ which featured him as ‘Timmy.’ In the same year, he portrayed the role of ‘Gabe’ in the third and tenth episodes of the first season of the series ‘Sons of Tucson.’

He got a major career breakthrough in 2010, when he landed a recurring role in the series ‘Shake It Up.’ The series revolved around young children and their passion to become professional dancers. The series was highly adored by audiences around the world, and Buddy gained immense exposure to the children’s entertainment industry.

In 2011, after making a small appearance in the series ‘Mr. Sunshine,’ Buddy reprised his role of ‘Henry Dillon’ in a 90-minute-long special episode of ‘Shake It Up.’ It was presented as a TV film, titled ‘Shake it up: Made in Japan.’ This was the last time Buddy portrayed the character of ‘Henry.’
