Tara Wallace - Reality Star, Career and Personal Life

Before ‘Love & Hip Hop NY’ happened to Tara, she was just another aspiring actress from the south. As per sources, Tara started her career at a Virgin Megastore in downtown NYC. Given her love for acting and theatre, Wallace even landed a few gigs in small time commercial and community theatre. She further spent time doing some off-Broadway shows, both musicals and theatre productions. Tara’s love and passion for acting and theatre finally got a centre stage when she was offered a spot on Vh1’s reality series, Love & Hip Hop New York. This television based reality show follows the day-to-day life of women who are either themselves hip-hop artists dating someone or are married to or dating hip-hop artists stars.

While ‘LHHNY’ is one of the main reasons for Tara’s fame and accumulated wealth, Tara is tremendously popular for her rather complicated and real life “love triangle” between long time rapper boyfriend, Peter Gunz, and LHHNY co-star, Amina Buddafly.

While most of you think “Love Triangle” when you hear Tara Wallace, what many of you don’t know is that Tara is an educated celebrity. She not only graduated from Jackson State University, before moving to NYC, but also holds a master’s degree in fine arts from New York’s Actors Studio Drama School. This southern siren always knew that she was meant for the media & entertainment world and was very involved in musicals and off-Broadway theatricals in her pre-LHNY days. Tara then moved on to work as a manager in a renounced downtown night club and lounge.

Tara and Peter met in 2000 and dated for 13 years before the couple was cast in LHHNY. However, trouble started brewing in their love paradise when Peter met Amina on the sets of Love & Hip Hop New York. While Amina and Peter entered matrimony and have a child, it’s interesting to note that Tara already had 2 boys Kaz and Jamison with Peter at that time. Peter and Tara never got engaged or married but they did have 2 children. As described by Peter, he and Tara are friends with benefits.

It was further rumored that Tara and Peter’s relationship was still going on, while he continued to be married to Amina. It was soon confirmed that Peter was still seeing Tara, when news of Tara’s 3rd pregnancy surfaced. Tara and Peter had their 3rd child, a boy name Gunner, in February 2016.

If not the Love triangle, the birth of Gunner surely gave paparazzi just another scoop they were looking for. Surprisingly enough, Tara, Peter and Amina are very open about their relationships and have allowed media broadcasters document almost every moment of their personal life. As their love triangle continues to make news in the media and gossip world, none of the 3 celebs seem to be complaining about it.

Peter and Tara currently share the custody of their 3 boys but Tara is bringing up her 3 sons single handed. Further, to save the father-son relationship, Tara did not let the news of Peter and Amina’s marriage get to the boys. Besides starring in Love & Hip Hop NY, Tara is also known to work as a manager in a major restaurant, in the downtown meatpacking area, to support her children.

The love triangle between Tara Wallace, Peter Gunz, and Amina Buddafly does not seem to come to an end. The off and on couple Tara and Peter kept their audiences engaged to their relationship status.

The year 2016 saw the estranged couple Tara & Peter together at a masked ball in New Jersey having dinner together. This was followed by the LHHNY star announcing that she was pregnant with Peter’s 3rd child. This announcement was, however, thought to be the turning point of Peter & Amina’s relationship.

However, Amina & Peter took the world by surprise when they welcomed their 2nd daughter Bronx, amidst season 7 of LHHNY. To complicate matters, Peter continues to openly profess his love and affection for ex-partner, Tara Wallace. He even proposed that the two get back together and this time for good.

Things took an interesting twist as season 7 of ‘Love & Hip Hop New York’ aired in Nov 2016 when Peter suggested that the two ladies settle their differences on the show.

In February 2017, rumors began to surface that Tara is pregnant with Peter’s 4th child, but Tara countered them immediately stating that she was not getting back with Peter, for good, any time soon. While Tara has been vehemently crushing Peter’s proposal, stating that she was deeply hurt and humiliated by his past actions, the rapper did manage to bring the tele-celeb a heartfelt speech on her 40th birthday bash. So, does that mean Peter & Tara are back together while Peter & Amina are history? Well that still remains a mystery!
