Who is Patti Scialfa?
Vivienne Patricia Scialfa is an American singer, songwriter, and a guitarist, who has been playing for the E Street Band since the 1980s. For her work with the band, she has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Born in Deal, New Jersey, she began to write songs from a very early age. Though she used to submit original songs to various artists during her early years, unfortunately none of them were recorded. A few years after her graduation, she joined the E Street Band, shortly before their 'Born in the USA Tour'. She was also seen in the album 'Dirty Work' by the British rock band 'Rolling Stones'. She worked with English singer Keith Richards on his first solo album 'Talk is Cheap’ as well. In the early 1990s, she released her first solo album 'Rumble Doll', which consisted of twelve tracks. She later released two more albums named '23rd Street Lullaby' and 'Play It as It Lays'.

Career
Patti Scialfa began her career as a singer in New Jersey bar bands after completing high school. She also studied music at The University of New York. During her college years, she submitted her works to several artists. Unfortunately, none of them were recorded. Later, along with Soozie Tyrell and Lisa Lowell, she formed a street group named 'The Trickster'. Over the next few years, she went through a lot of struggles to earn a place in the music industry. She eventually started playing at Folk City and Kenny Castaways. Over the years, her popularity grew and she was eventually seen working with popular singers such as Southside Johnny and David Johansen.
She joined the E Street Band in 1984, just a few days before the band's 'Born in the USA Tour'. She also appeared in the album 'Dirty Work' by the British rock band 'Rolling Stones'. She then worked in Keith Richard's first album 'Talk is Cheap'. After a few years, she released her debut album 'Rumble Doll' in 1993. It received four stars from the Rolling Stone Magazine. It contained twelve tracks, such as 'In My Imagination', and 'Spanish Dancer'.
A decade and a year later, she released her second album '23rd Street Lullaby'. It peaked at number 152 on the US Billboard 200. Like her previous album, it was also met with four stars by Rolling Stone magazine. It contained tracks, such as 'City Boys' 'Chelsea Avenue', and ‘Yesterday's Child'.
In 2007, she released her third album 'Play It as It Lays'. It stood at number 90 on the US Billboard 200. It got three and a half stars from the Rolling Stone Magazine. The tracks in the album include 'Looking for Elvis', 'Bad for You' and 'Black Ladder'.
Personal Life
Patti Scialfa was born on 29 July 1953. She grew up in Deal, New Jersey. Her parents were Joseph Scialfa and Patricia Scialfa. Her father owned a TV store and later became a real estate developer. She studied at Asbury Park High School, from where she graduated in 1971.
During the initial years of her career, Patti Scialfa met the Oscar and Grammy winning singer Bruce Springsteen. They started dating and she gave birth to their child Evan James Springsteen in 1990. They got married the following year in June. The couple went on to have two other children, Jessica Rae Springsteen and Samuel Ryan Springsteen, in December 1991 and January 1994 respectively. The family lives in Colt Necks, New Jersey.
She has a net worth of $5 million which she accumulated through her music career. She and her husband also own several houses located in different places across the country.
She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
