OprahSide uploaded his first YouTube video in 2014. The video had details about unlocking badges in ‘NBA 2K15’. The video was an instant success which encouraged him to create a self-titled channel in April 2015. In this channel, he uploaded vlogs and gameplay videos of ‘NBA 2K’. The channel gained over 700,000 subscribers in no time and shot OprahSide to fame.

The last couple of years have seen his ratings soar on social media as his channels have turned into one of the most viewed among channels pertaining to basketball. On an average, his channels garner more than 1.5 million views per day which translates into handsome earnings for the young YouTube star.

OprahSide started experimenting on YouTube by uploading ‘NBA 2K’ videos. ‘NBA 2K’ is basically a video game series where users can create their own players and teams in order to participate in either single games or seasons. The game eventually became extremely popular among young basketball enthusiasts. OprahSide made good use of the game’s popularity and started accumulating subscribers. He even has his own personalized commentary options where he comments on the performances of individual players and discusses various tactics employed by teams.

His success prompted him to start a second channel under the name, ‘Oprah Sideverson’, which became even more popular with more than a million subscribers around the globe. One of his most viewed videos feature him hitting half court shots with utmost ease.

His videos are categorized into sections, namely ‘IRL Basketball Videos’, ‘NBA Myteam Drafts’ and ‘Real Nigga Tales’. While the first two sections mainly deal with basketball, ‘Real Nigga Tales’ covers the day-to-day issues of black people living in America. Some of his videos like ‘Arrested in 8th Grade’, ‘The Best Day in My Life’ and ‘How I Almost Lost My Virginity’ portray the lives of young Black Americans.

OprahSide is also active on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, where he is known as Oprah Side Nigga or realoprahsidenigga. He once opposed fellow ‘NBA 2K’ vlogger Chris Smoove on Twitter which created quite a stir on social media. He is associated with another YouTube personality named Cash Nasty, who is also known for his NBA posts. OprahSide is a good friend of his and gets along well with him.

There are a number of OprahSide T-shirts, posters, mugs and other artefacts that are custom made and sold online to his fans across the globe.

Today, OprahSide is a celebrity in his own right. He sure has the potential of making his mark in the entertainment industry and his fans would surely love to see him perform on the big screen.

OprahSide was born as Clark William on January 21, 1995 in Chicago, United States of America. He was born into a middle class African-American family and was brought up by his parents.

He started following NBA matches while he was in high school and later developed an interest towards video games based on basketball. He also learnt to play basketball and played in the neighborhood court, along with his friends.

He took up his stage name at the age of 19 when he uploaded his first video on YouTube. He identified himself with his African roots and was proud of being a Black American.

He has dated a few girls in Chicago, but is yet to enter into a serious relationship. His long-term dream is to make it big in the entertainment industry using social media as a launch pad.
