Mitch Lucker was an American musician, best known as the lead singer of the heavy-metal band ‘Suicide Silence.’ Mitch was known for having a body full of tattoos. He believed tattoos were artwork. His band debuted in 2007, with the album titled ‘The Cleansing.’ The album sold more than seven thousand copies in its first week. ‘Suicide Silence’ became one of the best-selling bands of ‘Century Media.’ Within a span of nine years, the band released three studio albums. Mitchell Adam Lucker was born on October 20, 1984, in Riverside, California. He was influenced by the music of bands such as ‘Korn,’ ‘Deftones,’ ‘Slayer,’ and ‘Sepultura.’
In one of his interviews, he stated that his father would often encourage him and his brother to listen to new music.
Career
‘Suicide Silence’ was formed in 2002, in Riverside, California. The band consisted of Chris Garza, Rick Ash, Mike Bodkins, Josh Goddard, and Tanner Womack, apart from Mitch.
They released their first full-length studio album, ‘The Cleansing,’ on September 18, 2007. Their first album became a hit, selling more than seven thousand copies in its first week. The album debuted at number 94 on the ‘Billboard 200’ chart. It became one of the best-selling records of ‘Century Media Records.’
The success of their first album earned them an invitation to perform at the ‘Mayhem Festival’ in 2008. Following this, he toured Europe and the US.
Their second album, ‘No Time to Bleed,’ was released on June 30, 2009. The album reached number 32 on the ‘Billboard 200’ chart. The album sold a whopping 14 thousand copies in the first week of release in the US alone.
Their third album, ‘The Black Crown,’ was released on July 12, 2011, and this album, too, sold more than 14 thousand copies in the US within a week of its release. The Black Crown’ debuted at number 28 on the ‘Billboard Top 200.’ The band performed at that year’s ‘Mayhem Festival,’ too.
Their fourth album, ‘You Can’t Stop Me,’ was released in the US on July 15, 2014, after the death of Mitch Lucker. Mitch was replaced by Hernan “Eddie” Hermida of ‘All Shall Perish.’
On February 24, 2017, the band released their self-titled album and sold more than four thousand copies in the first week. The sale of this album was 69% lesser than that of ‘You Can’t Stop Me.’ It received mixed reviews from both critics and fans.

Mitch married Jolie Carmadella, his long-term girlfriend, on May 8, 2010. Their daughter, Kenadee Lucker, was born in 2007, much before their marriage.
Mitch died in a motorcycle accident on November 1, 2012, at 6:17 am, in Huntington Beach, California.
A memorial show was organized at the ‘Fox Theater’ in Pomona, California, on December 21, 2012, to support Mitch’s daughter’s future education. The memorial was named ‘Ending Is the Beginning: The Mitch Lucker Memorial Show.’ The band released the trailer of the show on December 16, 2013. The show was released on CD/, DVD, and Blue-ray on February 18, 2014.
