Lauren Lindsey Donzis is an American actress who gained fame recently for portraying the character of Ruby in the Disney Channel comedy series ‘Liv and Maddie’. A native of Los Angeles, Donzis developed acting aspirations quite early in her life. She appeared in her first commercial when she was seven years old. After establishing herself as a young actress in the advertisements, she made her screen debut in an episode of Disney Channel’s ‘Austin & Ally’ in 2015. This also started off her professional relationship with Disney. She then appeared as a recurring character in ‘Best Friends Whenever’. In 2016, she was cast in ‘Liv and Maddie’. In 2015, Lauren Lindsey Donzis started off her acting career in a season four episode of the popular Disney Channel show ‘Austin & Ally’. Subsequently, she was cast to play the nine-year-old version of Landry Bender’s character, Cyd Ripley, in ‘Best Friends Whenever’. She appeared in two episodes of season one: ‘The Butterscotch Effect’ and ‘When Shelby Met Cyd’. Playing the younger version of one of the show’s protagonists, she got the chance to display her comedic skills. That year, she also appeared in the television film ‘The Perfect Stanleys’, portraying the role of Pippa Stanley, and in the short film ‘No She Wasn’t’, in which she was cast as the poor kid.
Donzis joined the cast of another popular Disney Channel comedy show, ‘Liv and Maddie’, in the season four. The series, created by John D. Beck and Ron Hart, premiered on July 19, 2013, and enjoyed good ratings throughout its run. Donzis portrayed Ruby, a cousin of the Rooneys, who moves to Wisconsin from California. The fourth season was also the last; ‘Liv and Maddie’ concluded on March 24, 2017.
