JWoww was born Jennifer Lynn Farley, on February 27, 1986, in Franklin Square, New York City. She went through a difficult childhood, and most of her younger years had been spent without a mother.

Her mother had some deep mental issues. Jennifer was mostly raised by her father, Terry Farley, as her parents were separated. Jennifer once told her father that she would be fine if he divorced her mother. Her parents divorced soon after.

Jennifer grew up at a time when computers had started to become an essential part of everyday lives. She was fascinated by the thought of working in the domain of computers. Soon, she developed an interest in graphic designing.

She finished her high-school education from ‘Columbia High School’ in New York and then enrolled at the ‘New York Institute of Technology.’ While in college, she had to work as a nanny to support herself financially.

By the time she was in her final year of college, she had lost her interest in graphic designing. However, to be on the safer side, she opened her own graphic designing firm, which remained her main source of income.

During her final year in college, in 2009, she bagged the chance to appear on the popular MTV reality show ‘Jersey Shore.’ As she had lost interest in graphic designing by then, she accepted the offer.

The show was being launched in America and Jennifer appeared in its first season, as one of its eight contestants. During the course of the show, she became one of the most-loved contestants. She was too confident and always protested against injustice.

The show’s format had eight contestants spending time together at a house in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Her popularity rose when she continued to appear in the subsequent seasons of the show. The show moved from New Jersey to Florida and then to Italy in the following seasons.

Over time, the show became one of the most popular reality shows on American TV. Jennifer’s popularity soared and several more reality-show producers started approaching her. By then, she had become the ultimate diva of reality TV. During the first season of the show, she was named “JWoww,” as the male contestants stated that whenever she walked into the room, they could not help but exclaim “J wow.”

Her second reality-show appearance was on ‘Snooki & Jwoww,’ another MTV reality show. The show was a spin-off to ‘Jersey Shore’ and co-starred Snooki, her housemate from the ‘Jersey Shore’ days. The show’s format had been inspired by the format of ‘Laverne & Shirley.’ The show became one of the most successful MTV reality shows of the year.

In 2011, she launched her official website. In 2012, she made her film debut with the comedy film ‘The Three Stooges.’ It was a slapstick comedy that featured her in a small role. The film was a critical and box-office success, too.

JWoww also launched her own fashion line, ‘Filthy Couture,’ and showcased her line at a show in Las Vegas. However, it turned out to be a major disaster, due to a threatened lawsuit over copyright claims. After four years of operations, the line was discontinued. However, rather than getting disheartened by it, she claimed that she would return with another fashion line of hers someday.

In 2010, she released her first book, ‘The Rules According to JWOWW: Shore-Tested Secrets on Landing a Mint Guy, Staying Fresh to Death, and Kicking the Competition to the Curb,’ which was based on her experiences of working on the ‘Jersey Shore’ sets.

She also played the recurring role of ‘Nikki’ in the soap opera ‘One Life to Live.’ In 2013, she joined ‘MTV’s Club New Year’s Eve 2013’ as a host, along with Snooki and Jeff Dye.

In January 2013, when her popularity was at its peak, she was named one of ‘GQ’ magazine’s “Sexiest 100 Ladies of the 21st Century.” In 2014, she appeared as one of the main cast members of the reality show ‘Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.’

In 2015, she appeared on another reality show, ‘Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition,’ which was a lot different than anything she had done so far. She emerged as the winner of the show.

She also ventured into film production with the 2015 indie comedy film ‘The Mint.’ She also starred in the film as a lead. The film received above-average reviews and made decent money at the box office.

JWoww married her longtime boyfriend, Roger Mathews, in October 2015. They have two children.

One of her sons, Greyson Valor, suffers from speech abnormality and is unable to speak even after turning 2. JWoww revealed her son’s condition via a long social-media post and stated that she had to take him to for therapy thrice a week.

In a recent interview, she stated that she felt guilty about treating her mother badly, as she had been suffering from mental issues.
