Julia started her YouTube channel ‘Julia Gilman - BeautyTakeIn’ in July 2011 and posted her first video entitled ‘My Curling Secret’ on July 1. All her initial videos like ‘How To Get Ready For Prom’ and ‘Huge Summertime Haul’ were beauty tutorials or back to school videos. Gilman’s channel really started getting popular in 2013. Videos like ‘Get Ready With Me: First Day Of School!’ and ‘5 Heatless Hairstyles for School! However, she was able to face it with the help of her friends and family and started to eat healthier. This was reflected in her content as well.
