On the silver screen, she has acted in the movies ‘True Crime’, ‘Nine Lives’, ‘Hood of Horror’ and ‘Clinical’. Career
Sydney Tamiia Poitier first acted in the TV movie ‘Free of Eden’ in 1998. She then appeared in the mystery drama flick ‘True Crime’ and the TV movie ‘Noah's Ark’ in 1999. After this, she was cast as Riley Kessler in the series ‘First Years’. The actress then started playing the role of Abigail Newman in the drama ‘Abby’. Then after featuring in an episode of ‘The Twilight Zone’, Poitier was cast as Rebecca Askew in the fantasy/family drama ‘Joan of Arcadia’ in 2003. A year later, she acted in the series ‘Veronica Mars’.
Then she did the short films ‘The List’ and ‘Blues’ in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Poitier then began portraying the character of Carrie Rivai on the series ‘Knight Rider’ in 2008. Two years later, she acted in the short films ‘Page 36’ and ‘Yard Sale’. After appearing in another short film ‘Big Tweet’ in 2011, the American artiste did the web series ‘Kendra’. Poitier studied at the Tisch School of the Arts and earned her bachelor's degree in acting from there. She later on attended the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Coming to the actress’ love life, she is married to Dorian Heartsong and has a daughter with him.
