Who is Mirka Federer?

Miroslava Mirka Federer is a former Swiss Tennis player and the wife of world’s top ranked Tennis player, Roger Federer. While in her prime, she used to be one of the most promising woman tennis players from Switzerland and shocked the game enthusiasts around the world in a very short span of time. She reached her career’s top rank in September 2001, when she was placed at no. 76 in the world WTA rankings. Apart from her singles ranking, her doubles ranking achieved a career high at the 215th spot in 1998, when she had just started her professional tennis career. Mirka met Roger first during the 2000 Olympics and they started dating, while bonding over their common passion of tennis. Her love for tennis goes way back, when she was a child. The ace Tennis player Martina Navratilova identified her talent when Mirka was just 8 and appreciation from an international star such as hers, made her grow into one of the classiest Swiss women Tennis stars. However, her recurring foot injury kept her away from constantly performing at the fullest of her skills and she just managed to enter the third round in the US Open 2001. She bid farewell to the game sometime later, but her close association with the game is still intact and she is seen on the court in all the matches of her husband, Roger Federer. She also works as his PR Manager and manages his finances along with public relations.
