Fabiana Flosi is the third and current wife of Formula One honcho and business magnate Bernie Ecclestone. One look at them and they seem to be the most mismatched couple you would have ever seen – she is double his height and he is double her age. However, despite the extremely evident difference there is something brewing between the two and a closer look would tell you that it is love. When Flosi married Ecclestone, there were rumours and people labelled her as a gold-digger. His huge business empire and his great financial standing could be the primary motive for her getting hitched to a man double her age but over the years it has become evident that the relationship wasn’t based on social or economic security but on emotions. Childhood & Early Life
Fabiana Flosi was born in a middle class household to a retired civil servant engineer father and a homemaker mother. She has a sister Fernanda. The family lived in a stylish house in Sao Paulo.
After completing her school education, Fabiana education enrolled for a degree in international trade.
Career
Fabiana Flosi’s first career breakthrough came in when she worked for International Publicity, a venture by Rohonyi Tamas, a Hungarian businessman. Tamas promoted Brazilian Grand Prix through his company.
Starting off at lower level, Fabiana worked her way up the ladder to become the Vice President of Marketing at the Brazilian Grand Prix. She worked for long hours and dedicatedly served the organization.
Interestingly, alongside working for the Brazilian Grand Prix, Fabiana studied law as well. A law graduate, Fabiana helps Ecclestone in his F1 work. She gave up her promising career for Bernie.
Personal Life & Legacy
Before marrying Bernie Ecclestone, Fabiana was involved in a brief, early and unhappy marriage. This was followed by a long romance with a paediatric doctor, with whom she lived in Sao Paulo.
Fabiana first met Bernie through the World Motor Sport Council. She regularly attended meetings and had secured a permanent place on the Brazilian Motor Sports Federation board.
Having known each other for quite some time, it was on a cruise trip around Croatia in 2009 that Fabiana met him personally. Despite the age difference, there was something that sparked between the two. Ecclestone who had recently come out of his marriage with Slavica Ecclestone, found Fabiana intelligent, modest and diplomatic than his previous wife who was more flamboyant and extravagant.
In April 2012, Fabiana ad Bernie had a low key engagement ceremony. Though no official date of the celebration is known, Fabiana proudly showed off the impressive sparkler at the Spanish Grand Prix.
Fabiana and Bernie Ecclestone’s marriage was a hush-hush affair at his Swiss chalet at Gstaad, Switzerland in late 2012. Not even the neighbours knew of the wedding ceremony that was taking place.
Fabiana is very protective of Ecclestone who has calmed down as a person in her company. He is more relaxed and at ease when she is around her. She takes utmost care of him. From being a cook to a chauffeur, she has played all the roles for him.
