Wilco Froneman is a South African transfer pricing manager and rugby player currently living in New York City. He is presently affiliated with the New York Gotham Knights Rugby Football Club. He garnered media attention in September 2018 for attending the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards, at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California, with hairdresser, podcaster, and television personality Jonathan Van Ness. Little is known about his family and early life. He spent a considerable part of his life in Ireland before moving to the United States of America. In January 2018, he suffered a back injury and the severity of it made him fear that he would never be able to play again. However, he did eventually find his way back to the rugby pitch. Since his appearance at the Emmy Awards with Van Ness, Froneman is rapidly becoming a social media celebrity. He has amassed over 30 thousand followers on Instagram. Career
Wilco Froneman began his career in Johannesburg in February 2009 as a tax risk auditor at Nedbank. He worked there for one year and ten months before moving to Cape Town and joining Ernest & Young in November 2010 as a transfer pricing assistant manager. Froneman held this job for the following three years. In March 2014, he was hired by BDO South Africa as the transfer pricing manager. He would be with this company for about one and a half year.
In late 2015, Froneman relocated to Dublin, Ireland, to work for Deloitte Ireland as their transfer pricing manager. He held the job for almost two years. In July 2017, he was transferred to Deloitte’s New York branch, where he currently works.
While he was in Dublin, he used to play for the Emerald Warriors, which is a Leinster Metro League Division 10 team. They are also part of the International Gay Rugby Association and Board. The club was founded in 2003 and their colours are green, white, and blue. Their crest depicts a traditional Celtic shield with multiple rugby balls making up a floral pattern at the centre. Froneman was with the Warriors for two years and was a member of their bronze final championship-winning team at the Union Cup Madrid 2017. Froneman was one of the two players who received the Emerald Warriors’ Player of the Season accolade that year.
In 2017, after moving to New York City, he joined Gotham Knights Rugby Football Club, which is a Division III men's club in the Metropolitan New York Rugby Union. Their home ground is located in Randalls Island in Manhattan.

Wilco Froneman was born in 1985 or 1986 in South Africa. He attended the University of Johannesburg between 2005 and 2014, earning his bachelor of commerce degree in Tax Law / Taxation in 2008 and master’s degree in South African and International Taxation in 2014.
Wilco Froneman is extremely well-travelled. Besides living in Ireland and the USA, he has also been to Greece, Switzerland, Venice, Amsterdam, and Thailand. He has a Boston Terrier named Leja, who accompanies him in most of his travels. She has her own Instagram account.
His drag queen moniker is Wilma Fey. Froneman dressed up as Fey for the first time for the annual Gotham Knights fundraiser for Bingham Cup 2018. Posting a picture of himself as Fey on Instagram, he wrote that this was “completely out of his comfort zone”.
Froneman is believed to be dating Jonathan Van Ness who created and acted in the parody web series ‘Gay of Thrones’ (2013-17). In 2018, he joined Netflix’s original series ‘Queer Eye’ as the grooming expert. He was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series for ‘Gay of Thrones’ in 2018 but lost to the creators of ‘Carpool Karaoke: The Series’
