Sheryl Berkoff - Makeup Artist, Career and Childhood

Sheryl Berkoff was born on June 20, 1961 in Los Angeles, California. Though not much is known about her educational or family background, it is a well-known fact that she is the sister of Hilary Swank, the Academy Award-winning actress.

Sheryl is a renowned makeup and special effect artist in Hollywood and has helped several famous artists in getting dolled up. She did a remarkable job in the 1992 film ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’. She displayed her amazing skills in the film ‘Frankie and Johnny’ as well. Her work in the film ‘The Vanishing’ furthered her popularity. Other noticeable works of Sheryl are ‘Eve of Destruction’ (1991) and ‘Renegades’ (1989).

Sheryl could have become a great makeup artist in Hollywood, but she chose to be a successful wife and a mother. With no regrets, Sheryl takes pride in being a part of such a warm and lovely family. She never repents on choosing family over her career. According to Sheryl, her peace and happiness lie within her family. She has maintained a low profile and is photographed only while accompanying Rob in important events and premieres.

Sheryl and Rob met in the early 80s when Rob was already a star. They were first introduced by a common friend. Sheryl was then dating an actor named Emilio Estevez, one of Rob’s friends. During their first meet they never ever thought of starting a relationship. But destiny had other plans for them.

In 1983, they went on a blind date and were surprised to see each other. However, the meeting once again ended up as a casual one. But this time around, they developed a liking towards each other. Six years later, they once again met on the sets of the film, ‘Bad Influence’, in which Sheryl was the make-up artist for Rob. They got to spend a lot of time with each other which enriched their friendship.

Sheryl and Rob soon started dating each other. They finally took their relationship to the next level by walking down the aisle after enjoying two years of courtship. In 1993, they welcomed their first bundle of joy, Matthew Edward Lowe. Two years later, their second son, John Owen Lowe, was born.

According to Rob, Sheryl has been a great wife and an amazing mother. She has always stood beside Rob during his good and bad times. When Rob was accused of physically assaulting one of his employees, it was Sheryl who voiced against the accusation. As it turned out, the concerned employee falsely accused Rob in order to strain Rob’s relationship with his wife. But Sheryl’s immense trust on Rob didn’t allow the employee’s evil intention to affect their marriage.

Rob has recognized her efforts in making their journey a happy one. In 2016, on ‘Rachael Ray’ show, Rob made a statement which revealed the secret behind their successful marriage. He said one of the strongpoints of their marriage is their friendship. He also said that she is the reason behind their sons’ academic achievements. Sheryl also made it easier for him to reconnect with their sons after they left home for higher studies.

It was never easy for Sheryl to be an actor’s wife. Being in such a field where relationships are always insecure, Sheryl and Rob’s relation is an exception. Sheryl has never felt insecure about their relationship. She just takes pride for having a handsome hunk as her husband. In fact, she loves to see other girls and actresses drool over her husband.

In 2015, a tabloid posted a few pictures of Rob and Sheryl holidaying in Hawaii. Considering their respective age, they both looked fantastic in beachwear.
