Patricia Bright - Youtubers, Birthday and Childhood

Patricia started working when she was barely sixteen. During her high school days, she worked at a retail shop where she distributed catalogs and took orders from the customers. While attending her junior college, she took up a job at a clothing store which exclusively retailed dresses for bridesmaid. After completing her junior college, she studied Chemistry, Biology, and Psychology for her bachelor’s degree.

During her university days, she became familiar with techniques involved in hairstyling. After her bachelor’s degree, she turned her living room into a hair salon. While working as a hairstylist in her own salon, she decided to pursue a master’s degree in fashion industry marketing. This turned out to be a big mistake as she did not like the subject and eventually decided to quit. She then opted for finance and accounting and completed her masters. Patricia could not attend her graduation ceremony as she had to move to Manchester for her internship.

Patricia’s internship at Merrill Lynch lasted for 5 years and was a good learning experience for her. The internship helped her gain some much-needed confidence as she was shy and lacked self-confidence. During her internship, she watched a lot of YouTube videos on make-up and fashion. She then decided to emulate other YouTube stars and was encouraged by her friend as well, but she wanted to keep it a secret as she didn’t want her colleagues and her boss to know about her YouTube career.

She created her YouTube channel and started posting videos. Initially, she was not regular in posting videos as she hardly had the time to do so. One fine day, her boss came to know about her YouTube career and seemed unhappy about it. Eventually, Patricia left the job and got married to her longtime boyfriend in 2012. After her honeymoon in Mauritius, Patricia wanted to take-up YouTube as her full-time career. She then shifted her focus towards vlogging.

After posting videos on beauty hacks and fashion products, Patricia shifted her attention towards posting make-up tutorials. She then did numerous tutorials using all kinds of make-up products. She also reviewed many make-up products of various brands including Kylie, Too Faced, Bobbi Brown, MAC, and Fenty Beauty. Patricia then posted a video on an eBay scam in which she also reviewed some newly launched products.

Her channel caught the attention of many as she was one of the very few British fashion vloggers back then. Patricia then created another channel and named it ‘Britpoplife’. She only posts vlogs on this channel. The channel is packed with important events that have taken place in her life, along with story time videos.

Patricia spoke about her cosmetic surgeries and how she overcame all the hate comments post the surgeries. She condemned the fact that people blindly criticize those who go under the knife. Patricia also said that she considers it as self-improvement. Initially, she went under the knife for a lip augmentation and later underwent breast augmentation.

Her second YouTube channel includes her wedding video and her gestation period too. Motherhood instilled more confidence in her, and she did numerous videos on post-pregnancy problems and hacks. Patricia collaborated with fellow YouTuber Jayde Pierce for a video in which they spoke about the beauty of being a mother. They also shared a few baby care tips. Patricia won an award for the most innovative fashion video which was awarded to her by InStyle, a fashion magazine.

Patricia was born Patricia Otegwu on February 4, 1987, in England. Her parents are basically from Nigeria, but moved to England before Patricia’s birth. Her father overstayed his British visa and as a result, he was deported back to Nigeria. However, Patricia, along with her sister, Maureen, stayed back with her mother. Her mother then found a temporary job to manage their finances. A few years later, her father returned to England and managed to earn his citizenship.

Patricia met Michael through a common friend when she was in Manchester. Michael saved Patricia once from an accident and that’s how love bloomed between them. They exchanged their wedding vows in March 2012 and four years later, they welcomed their child.
