Known for his role as Peter Petrelli on the NBC television series Heroes, Milo Anthony Ventimiglia decided at 8 that he wanted to win an Oscar. He received a scholarship from San Francisco’s prestigious American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) for their summer program and entered UCLA where he majored in theater. During that time, he made his professional acting debut on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Shortly thereafter, he was cast as the lead in the short film, ‘Must Be the Music’ which earned kudos at that year’ Sundance Film Festival. He built a varied resume balancing film, television and theater. His small screen experience includes the lead series regular role on ‘Opposite Sex’ and staring as a regular on hit series ‘Gilmore Girls’ as Jess Mariano. He began to play struggling young men and lawyers around this time. He had a significant role in the final Rocky film, Rocky Balboa. He was the star of NBC's hit drama ‘Heroes’ ideally cast in the role of a medical caregiver with superpowers, and displayed a blend of intelligence, emotion and heroism. Childhood & Early Life
Ventimiglia was born on July 8, 1977 in Anaheim, California, as the son of Carol and Peter Ventimiglia. The youngest of three children, he has two older sisters, Leslie and Laurel.
Graduating from El Modena High School in Orange, California, in 1995, he attended a summer program at the American Conservatory Theater. He attended UCLA as a theatre major.

He got his first starring role as Jason, a gay teenager in ‘Must Be the Music’, a1996 short film.
He had minor roles in television serials such as ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’, ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, ‘Sabrina, the Teenage Witch’, ‘Law and Order: Special Victims Unit’ and ‘Boston Public’.
He played the main character, Jed Perry, a 15-year-old boy who moves to California with his father shortly after the death of his mother, in the short-lived FOX TV series ‘Opposite Sex’ in 2000.
In the final season of the NBC drama ‘American Dreams’ (2004–2005), he played Chris Pierce, the rebellious boyfriend of Meg Pryor who evades the draft and eventually escapes with Meg to California
