Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told ABC’s ‘This Week’ on Sunday that it would be ‘dumber than dirt’ for China to lend deadly support to Russia in the war against Ukraine.
Anchor Martha Raddatz said, “I want to turn to China. The US says it doesn’t have a spy balloon program, but given what happened, are you worried that China has overtaken the US in this so-called near space? »
Graham said, “You know, I try to help the administration. Listen. I like Tony Blinken, but the response about the ball has been slow. The Chinese lie. It’s not a weather balloon. It’s a spy balloon. We have to deal with it, but what Secretary Blinken said is big news for me. He thinks the Chinese are about to supply Putin with lethal weapons. Now if that happens the world has to take it out on China because if you believe like me and Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris that Russia is committed to crimes against humanity in Ukraine, any country that comes to their aid would have to pay a heavy price.
He added: “That is why we should designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, because if you do this under US law and China supplies lethal weapons, they will be punished. For the Chinese, if you jump on the Putin bandwagon now, you’re dumber than dirt. It would be like buying a ticket on the Titanic after watching the movie. Do not do that. The most catastrophic thing that can happen to US-China relations, in my opinion, is that China is giving Putin deadly weapons in this crime against humanity. It would change everything forever.
