Who is Yasmin Aga Khan?

Yasmin Aga Khan is a philanthropist who is famous for raising public awareness regarding Alzheimer's disease. She is the daughter of Prince Aly Khan, Pakistan's former representative to the UN, and American actress/ dancer Rita Hayworth. After the death of her mother due to Alzheimer's disease, she decided to create widespread awareness about this potentially fatal disease. Since then she has been advocating tirelessly to find a cure for the disease and related disorders. A graduate of Bennington College, she has successfully established a worldwide network for coordinating Alzheimer's disease research. By making innumerable public appearances and giving several interviews, she has brought this global network together to make the public more aware about this misunderstood and dangerous disease. Today, Yasmin Aga Khan holds honourable positions at the boards of several organizations and institutions associated with Alzheimer's disease. She serves these organizations with the hope that one day a cure will become a reality.
