Oasys: Redefining Custom Integration

The Home Technology Specialists Nationwide (HTSN) custom integration division of Nationwide Marketing Group is being rebranded as Oasys Residential Technology Group. The company’s new strategy aims to expand its reach to a wider portion of the custom integration industry. Oasys provides a unique combination of offerings to custom integrators, including free CEDIA membership, vendor-specific product training, and business and financial services. Additionally, all Oasys and Nationwide events, including the Oasys Summit and PrimeTime, are free to attend, allowing dealers to meet with key vendor partners face-to-face and tap into a peer-to-peer network to share best practices and more. Oasys aims to work directly with underrepresented integrators and offer targeted services that can have the biggest impact on their business. According to CEDIA’s Integrated Home Market Analysis, only a fraction of integrators participate in a buying organization, with integrators with an average annual revenue of less than $2 million being exceedingly underrepresented in buying group membership. The Oasys Summit will detail the group’s plans and strategic changes to dealer and vendor attendees.

Nationwide Marketing Group has decided to rebrand its HTSN custom integration division to Oasys Residential Technology Group. Oasys: Revolutionizing Custom Integration 8

According to Andy Orozco, the Senior Vice President of Custom Integration for Nationwide, the rebranding of HTSN to Oasys Residential Technology Group is meant to provide an even greater service to businesses just starting out or those who have struggled to establish themselves. The company believes that there is a segment of the industry that has been ignored and underserved for too long.

Oasys Residential Technology Group offers a unique combination of offerings to custom integrators, including free CEDIA membership and access to the Oasys Learning Academy, which provides CEDIA education and vendor-specific product training. Additionally, members have leveraged Nationwide’s business and financial services programs to streamline their businesses, enabling them to concentrate on delivering exceptional customer service. Furthermore, all Oasys and Nationwide events, including the Oasys Summit and PrimeTime, are free to attend, allowing dealers to meet with key vendor partners face-to-face and tap into a peer-to-peer network to share best practices and more.

CE Pro, a trade magazine for home technology professionals, recently featured an article on outdoor technology. The report highlighted former iRoom CEO Marc Hofer, who saw a potential market for integrators installing solar car ports with built-in EV charging stations. The article provided a deep dive into the challenges of outdoor technology.

Overall, the rebranding of HTSN as Oasys Residential Technology Group is aimed at providing more comprehensive services to a wider portion of the custom integration industry. The company’s unique combination of offerings, including CEDIA membership, vendor-specific product training, and business and financial services, aims to streamline integrators’ businesses and provide exceptional customer service. Additionally, Oasys and Nationwide events offer dealers the opportunity to network with peers and meet with key vendor partners face-to-face.

Oasys Aims to Offer Targeted Services to Underrepresented Integrators

The Integrated Home Market Analysis by CEDIA indicates that there are roughly 11,000 integrator companies operating in the United States. However, only a fraction of integrators participate in a buying organization, with integrators with an average annual revenue of less than $2 million, which make up two-thirds of the industry, being exceedingly underrepresented in buying group membership.

According to Hank Alexander, the director of Oasys, these businesses likely think joining a group is not a viable financial option or do not understand the benefits of membership. Oasys aims to extend its hand, work directly with them, and offer targeted services that can have the biggest impact on their business.

Oasys was first unveiled at PrimeTime in Dallas, and the branding will continue to materialize over the coming weeks, leading up to the first-ever Oasys Summit in Nashville, May 15-17. At the event, the group will detail its plans and other strategic changes to dealer and vendor attendees. Members can secure their free registration for the event by visiting the Oasys Summit registration website.
