Microsoft's Cybersecurity Incident Response Retainer Now Available

Microsoft has launched its Incident Response Retainer service, offering prepaid blocks of hours to assist businesses in preparing for and responding to cyber attacks. According to IBM’s Cost of a Data Breach report, companies with incident response and AI automation were able to identify and contain breaches 28 days faster than unprepared companies, saving them $3.05 million in costs. Microsoft claims that its Incident Response Retainer service provides the fastest response times and direct access to its team of global cybersecurity experts. The company has also teamed up with Kivu, a cybersecurity and incident response service provider, to use their existing relationships with cyber insurance providers in responding to customers’ cyber incidents. In addition, the partnership allows Kivu to regard Microsoft as the premier option for post-breach remediation services when their clients require them. Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of Security Services, Kelly Bissell, states that security is a team sport, and incident response is one of the most important areas where industry leaders should collaborate. This initiative shows that Microsoft is committed to offering reliable cybersecurity services.
