PM Modi pitches for BJP-led development in poll-bound Karnataka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a strong pitch for the ruling BJP in poll-bound Karnataka, stating that a stable government led by the saffron party was the need of the hour for the state’s fast-paced development. He cautioned the audience to be wary of the Congress party’s “bag of false guarantees” and emphasized that the state’s development requires a full majority, stable government. He also targeted coalition politics, Congress and its leaders, and stressed that the state needs to move away from “politics of manipulation” towards becoming a driving force for a developed India.

Modi inaugurated the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Chikkaballapura district and the 13.71 km Whitefield (Kadugodi)-to-Krishnarajapuram Metro Line in Bengaluru. He even took a ride on the newly inaugurated Metro and interacted with people from different walks of life during his journey.

In August last year, Siddaramaiah’s 75th birthday bash was held in Davangere, which is in the central part of the state, and was attended by a large crowd.

In his seventh visit to poll-bound Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged voters to choose the ruling BJP for a stable government that would fast-track the state’s development. He accused the opposition Congress party of viewing Karnataka as an “ATM” to fill the coffers of its leaders. Speaking at a public rally in Davanagere, Modi stressed that Karnataka needs to move away from “politics of manipulation” and toward becoming a driving force for a developed India.

During his visit, the Prime Minister inaugurated the ‘Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research’ in Chikkaballapura district and the Whitefield (Kadugodi) to Krishnarajapura Metro Line of Bangalore Metro in Bengaluru. He even took a Metro ride after buying a ticket.

Modi emphasized that the state’s development requires a full majority, stable government, and that the first job is to bring Karnataka out of the politics of manipulation. The upcoming Assembly elections, due by May, will soon be announced by the Election Commission, making Modi’s visit all the more significant.

Modi’s rally marked the culmination of BJP’s state-wide ‘Vijay Sankapla Yatre’ ahead of Assembly polls. The Yatre had begun earlier this month from four different directions across the state, in specially designed vehicles or ”rathas” and covered all 224 Assembly segments.

With Modi’s strong pitch for the BJP, voters will decide whether to support the ruling party for a stable government and development or the Congress for the state’s leadership, viewed by Modi as a detriment to Karnataka’s progress.

Modi Urges Voters to Choose BJP for Strong Government and Development

In his latest visit to Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged voters to choose the BJP for a stable government that will fast-track the state’s development. Speaking at a public rally in Davanagere, Modi emphasized that the state’s development requires a full majority, stable government. The upcoming Assembly elections, due by May, will soon be announced by the Election Commission, making Modi’s visit all the more significant.

Modi warned the audience to be wary of the Congress party’s “bag of false guarantees” and alleged that the Congress does not have any positive agenda for the country or Karnataka. He cautioned that Congress leaders made false promises ahead of polls in Himachal Pradesh, but the assurances did not find mention in their recent budget there.

Modi asked the people of Karnataka if they trusted the Congress party that makes false promises and questioned whether the party should be allowed to step inside Karnataka or be thrown out. He added that the people of Karnataka should be cautious and should not give the party an opportunity “to play their game.”

Modi also targeted coalition politics, Congress and its leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Siddaramaiah, and stressed that the state needs to move away from “politics of manipulation” towards becoming a driving force for a developed India.

The PM began his day by paying tribute to visionary civil engineer, administrator, and statesman Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya at his memorial in his birthplace Muddenahalli in Chikkaballapura district. During his address, he highlighted the challenges faced by youth from villages and poor families to join the medical profession and gave an option of learning medical education in Indian languages, including Kannada.

Modi then inaugurated the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Chikkaballapura district and the 13.71 km Whitefield (Kadugodi)-to-Krishnarajapuram Metro Line in Bengaluru. The new metro line, which has 12 stations and was built at a cost of Rs 4,249 crore, aims to ease traffic congestion in the city. Modi even took a ride on the newly inaugurated Metro and interacted with people from different walks of life, including staff and workers of the metro, during his journey.

During his visit to Davangere, Modi entered the rally venue in a specially designed vehicle, which made its way to the stage, passing through the pathway made amidst the crowd gathered under the huge pandal. People showered flower petals on the Prime Minister, who was accompanied by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, BJP veteran leader B S Yediyurappa, and BJP state unit President Nalin Kumar Kateel on the vehicle, as it passed near them.

Modi’s strong pitch for the BJP aims to win over voters who are looking for a strong government and development in Karnataka.
