Matilda Ramsay - Gordon Ramsay's Daughter, Birthday and Childhood

Like father like daughter, Matilda the adorable little daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and the youngest member of the Ramsay family displayed her culinary skills at a young age.

Also known by her nickname Tilly, she vouches to be a “Daddy’s girl” and shares a great bond with her father while getting away with all the teasing she showers on the celebrity chef on his cooking skills. Their rapport saw Tilly participate in a couple of cooking shows and competitions of Gordon.

She participated in the reality television cooking competition ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ where young and aspiring chefs are put under various challenges by Gordon in his Hollywood restaurant to figure out the winner. Matilda was featured in three of its episodes from 2010 to 2015. She also appeared in one of the episodes of 2015 in the American cooking competition TV series ‘MasterChef Junior’ that premiered on September 27, 2013 on ‘Fox’. The show that is judged by Gordon among others allows children of age group 8 to 13 years to apply, of whom 24 applicants are selected to audition. *Meanwhile in 2014, Matilda presented a National Television Award putting yet another feather in her cap. She also came up with her own cooking show called ‘Tillywood’ on ‘BBC’.

The one show that gave her much recognition and fame is the British CBBC cooking entertainment television program ‘Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch’; its first episode was aired on April 14, 2015. This children’s show presented by Matilda follows the Ramsay family as they set out for their summer holidays, while Matilda shows her culinary prowess by preparing some luscious, palatable and healthy dishes from the best of British and US cuisines making them exclusive with her own unique twists.

That’s not all, she also blogs for the CBBC website all through the program, each episode of which has a particular theme which is followed by Tilly while choosing and preparing a dish for her family. The success of the series in its first season that saw the family enjoying their summer holidays in Los Angeles made it come back for a second one which was filmed in London and Cornwall as well apart from Los Angeles. The show is slated to be premiered for a third season in 2017, the filming of which took place in Los Angeles.

Considering the culinary feats achieved so far by this charming young girl, who seemed to have inherited her father’s quality of keeping the audience engaged while cooking and also having a great on-screen presence, we can surely say that she is here to stay.

Matilda was born on November 15, 2001 in London, England to celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, and his wife, Tana Ramsay. Her mother is a former Montessori trained school teacher who later featured in her husband’s and daughter’s shows namely ‘MasterChef’ and ‘Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch’. Matilda has three elder siblings - eldest sister Megan and twins, Jack (elder brother) and Holly (second elder sister).
