A Shared Baby Role on Grace Under Fire

On September 28, 2026, Dylan Sprouse and his wife, the Hungarian model Barbara Palvin, announced on Instagram that their first child had been born. The Press Association's report the next day said he was best known for a Disney Channel sitcom he had left fifteen years earlier. That is still the shorthand, though most of his adult life has gone into other work: a degree in video game design, a mead brewery in Brooklyn, and a return to acting in films made for adults.

The acting started before he could talk. Sprouse and his twin brother, Cole, were cast as one child. Variety reported in 2007 that the two had shared the role of Brett Butler's baby on the sitcom Grace Under Fire "even before they'd reached their first birthday." For years after that, one part on screen meant two boys on the set.

Big Daddy and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody

Their film debut followed the same pattern. In Big Daddy (1999), the twins jointly played the child Adam Sandler's character adopts, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter both recorded.

The larger break came on television. Sprouse played Zack Martin in Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and its spinoff The Suite Life on Deck, which together ran from 2005 to 2011, with Cole beside him. Variety's 2007 profile credited the Disney series with turning the brothers into featured players in the tween market.

Video Game Design at NYU Gallatin

After the show wrapped in 2011, both brothers enrolled at New York University, according to W Magazine. Dylan studied video game design at the university's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, and Cole studied archaeology. Both graduated in May 2015, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

What came next was a business.

All-Wise Meadery in Brooklyn

Sprouse had been brewing mead since he was 16, he told Vice. In early 2018 he was putting most of his time into opening his own meadery in Brooklyn. W Magazine's February 2018 profile ran under the headline that he was focused on the meadery "at the moment" but still had plans to return to Hollywood.

Vice visited All-Wise Meadery that May. Sarah Lyons found a small operation with four brew tanks and a tasting room still to come, run by Sprouse and his co-founders, among them Doug Brochu. Sprouse was firm that this was not a celebrity parking money in a brand. "I definitely don't want people thinking this is an investment for me and my money," he said. "This for me is a passion project."

The acting had already started again by then. W Magazine noted that he had starred in a thriller released direct-to-video the year before.

Travis Maddox in Beautiful Disaster

His adult roles moved toward romance and action. In Beautiful Disaster he plays Travis Maddox, whom The AU Review summed up as a bad-boy brawler and campus playboy, opposite Virginia Gardner as Abby Abernathy.

The part needed fight training. Asked how he prepared, Sprouse told The AU Review that his research "was just getting into a tonne of bar fights," and then described himself in less flattering terms. He said he was "like a big lazy cat" who is usually "lounging at my computer desk playing video games, or laying on the couch watching anime." In the same interview he insisted that the costume he once wore, which Gardner remembered differently, had been a Wood Elf.

The line about video games fits the rest of the record. The NYU degree, the home brewing that became a company, and the adult films are all things he picked after the Disney years ended, not parts that were cast for two interchangeable babies.

Neglected and the Mississippi Shoot

On February 12, 2026, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Inaugural Entertainment had acquired North American distribution rights to Neglected, a thriller from writer-director David Lipper that stars Josh Duhamel, Sprouse and Til Schweiger. The film had wrapped production in Mississippi and, at the time of that report, was aiming for a spring release.

The same report listed his recent features as Under Fire, Aftermath and Beautiful Wedding.

A Wedding in Albertirsa

Sprouse married Palvin in Hungary, her home country, in July 2023. Entertainment Tonight reported at the time that the ceremony took place at a church outside Budapest. Vogue's account, republished by Vogue Philippines, gives more detail: the couple exchanged vows in a church in Albertirsa, followed by a civil ceremony on her parents' property, Harlekin Birtok.

The couple announced Palvin's pregnancy at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2026, according to the Press Association. Their daughter, their first child, was born in September 2026. GMA News and the Press Association both carried the announcement on September 29.
