Troydan was born Bryan Warren Barrister on September 15, 1987, in Toronto, Canada. As a kid, he developed a liking towards basketball and used to watch ‘The National Basketball Association’ (NBA) games.
During his school days, he started playing video games related to basketball and NBA in particular. He then came to know about Twitch, where his friends were streaming video game videos.
He then started exploring social media and fell in love with the idea of streaming videos of his favorite content. After streaming a few interesting videos through Twitch, he started gaining a fan base, which encouraged him to explore other social media platforms. His Twitch account, ‘TroydanGaming,’ currently has more than 367,000 followers.
He created his first YouTube channel on January 22, 2006, and started posting interesting videos. Apart from uploading videos related to ‘NBA 2K,’ he also started uploading challenge videos in order to keep his viewers guessing.
His channel currently has more than 1.2 million subscribers and over 322 million views. It is one of the most popular video game related YouTube channels in Canada.
