Taylor Dye was born on September 18, 1995 in Ada, Oklahoma, the USA. She has many brothers including actor Mason Dye. Currently, she is in a relationship with fellow country singer Jackie Lee. Information regarding the singer’s parents and other family members is not known. However, she often posts pictures on Instagram with her parents and brothers.
Maddie and Tae first met in 2010. After finishing high school, they moved to Nashville in order to pursue their professional musical career. The girls gave their first ever performance under the name "Sweet Aliana”. In 2014, the duo got signed to the Dot Records.
They wrote their debut song "Girl in a Country Song" which was released as a lead track for their first studio album ‘Start Here’. On November 4, 2014, the duo released their self-titled EP. This extended play featured "Girl in a Country Song" along with three new songs, "Your Side of Town", "Fly" and "Sierra". After this, the country singers cum songwriters co-wrote the song "Boomerang" for Jana Kramer's album ‘Thirty One.’
They went on to release their album’s third single titled "Shut Up and Fish" in November 2015. The following year, they came up with the album’s fourth single titled "Sierra". In March 2016, Maddie and Tae sang at The O2 Arena of C2C: Country to Country festival. Later that year, they launched a fashion line in partnership with Bloomingdales. In June 2017, it was announced that they had signed with UMG Nashville.
In February 2018, the country singers were assigned to Mercury Nashville label. Then on April 27, 2018, they released their single "Friends Don't". The duo has won many awards such as the ASCAP Country Music Award, Country Music Association Award, and Radio Disney Music Award.
