Although Paulina Goto has remained very secretive about her personal relationships, she revealed in June 2016 that she had been dating actor Horacio Pancheri.
Paulina Goto was born Paulina Gómez Torres, on July 29, 1991, in Monterrey, Mexico, to Eduardo Gómez and Alicia Torres. Her parents were successful in their respective professions. Her father was a locally famous singer and musician, and her mother worked as a psychologist. She grew up with her younger brother, Eduardo.
Work made the family move from Monterrey to Tampico, where they eventually settled. Paulina was 5 years of age then. She spent her childhood and teenage years there. By the time she turned 10, she had developed a keen interest in music. Most of the inspiration came from her musician father.
As a 4-year-old child, Paulina started training in ballet. She also joined rhythmic gymnastics classes, which she continued till she was 14 years old. As a junior gymnast, Pauline continued to participate in several local and national gymnastic competitions. She ended up becoming a star gymnast. She also represented her country in many international competitions.
In 2000, she participated in rhythmic gymnastics at the national junior ‘Olympics’ tournament. She also represented her school in many competitions.
Meanwhile, Paulina completed her primary education from ‘The American School Of Tampico,’ which was inspired mostly by the American style of school system and education. She also continued to participate in school choirs since a very early age, which motivated her to learn music.
In 2008, Paulina was hired to co-host ‘Roomies,’ a youth-oriented TV news show. However, the show was not very big in terms of reach and was only telecast in the city of Tampico. She worked on the show as a host and gained significant experience. She quit the show in 2009.
However, working on the show did turn out to be fruitful for her. She, along with a few more crew members from the show, was invited to attend the ‘Centro de Educación Artística.’ The school was run by a major media house and taught the students for free.
After a month of auditioning for the school, Paulina was finally accepted. Thus, she moved to New Mexico at the age of 17. There, she lived with her relatives during the first year of school, before she moved out and got a house of her own.
She learned the intricacies of acting, singing, and dancing. During her second year at the school, she earned an audition for the ‘Niña de mi Corazón,’ a telenovela. The auditions were held in her school, and she ended up getting the role of a teenager named ‘Andrea Paz.’ She also played ‘Andrea’s twin brother, ‘Andres Paz.’
The series was appreciated by critics and also became commercially successful. Paulina ended up winning the ‘Best Young Actress’ award at the ‘TVyNovelas Awards’ in 2011. The telenovela was also released in the US, where it won critical and commercial acclaim.
