Marianna Bronislawa Barbara Palka was born on 7 September 1981, in Glasgow, Scotland. She has a sister named Nina. She studied at Atlantic Theater Company, New York City. From 1999 to 2013, the actress was romantically linked with actor Jason Ritter whom she had met at Atlantic Theater Company. Currently, it is said that Palka is dating music artist Zac Clark. She is often seen posing with him in her Twitter and Instagram posts.
Marianna Palka first wrote the short film ‘By My Very Self’ which was based on her sister and father. She then wrote another flick ‘For My American Friends’. After this, she acted in the play ‘The Lonesome West’. In 2006, Palka did another play titled ‘Dublin Carol’ that was staged at Ensemble Theatre Company. The following year, she starred in the TV series ‘Drunk History’ and ‘Derek and Simon’.
Soon after this, she wrote, director, produced and starred in the flick ‘Good Dick’. Palka then was cast in the short film ‘Betty File 43’ in 2009. A year later, she got featured in the movie ‘Neds’ as well as in the play ‘Love, Loss, and What I Wore’. After this, she acted in the independent film ‘Restive’ and the short film ‘Insane’ in 2011.
Two years later, the Scottish star did the short films ‘The Price We Pay’ and ‘Slice’. She then appeared as Soko's Kisser in the short flick ‘First Kiss’ in 2014. That year, she also wrote, produced and starred in the documentary short ‘The Lion's Mouth Opens’. In 2015, Palka was cast in the movie ‘Forever’. She also created her project ‘Always Worthy’ the same year. Then in 2017, she played Reggie Walsh in the TV series ‘GLOW’.
