LeBron James Jr. born at
Lebron Raymone ''Bronny'' James was born on October 6, 2004 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is the eldest child of NBA superstar LeBron James and his high school sweetheart Savannah (née Brinson). Both his parents were athletic kids in high school; while his father played basketball and football, his mother played softball and was also a cheerleader. His parents started dating when they were only 17 and 16 years of age, and got married on September 14, 2013 in San Diego, after being together for 12 years. His mother became pregnant with him when she was in the middle of her senior academic year of high school, and he was born when his father was 19 years old and his mother was only 18. He has a younger brother named Bryce Maximus and a younger sister named Zhuri. While his father has been ranked as one of America's most influential and popular athletes, his mother is also a socialite who has gathered a sizeable fan following on social media. His parents also own the furniture line called Home Court by LeBron James.
As his father was a member of the Miami Heat, he spent most of his childhood in his father's three-story mansion in Coconut Grove, an affluent neighborhood in Miami. His family moved to Brentwood, Los Angeles in November 2015, after his father bought a $21 million East Coast–style mansion there. While he loves to play basketball, he also loves to play video games. He often has epic video game battles with his father and brother, and also stage movie nights at home. LeBron James Jr. is a student of St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. He is close friends with Zaire Wade, the son of his father's former teammate and Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade. NBA point guard Chris Paul is his godfather.
LeBron James Jr. has been an athletic kid like his father and showed interest in playing basketball early in his life. The media has been tracking the prodigious talent since he was only seven years old, and the kid never disappointed those who tried to draw a parallel with his father. By the time he was 9, he started dominating on the prep circuit and garnered major college interest nationally, even coming under the radar of Ohio State coach Thad Matta for future recruitment. At 12 years, he already has offers from Duke and Kentucky. Videos of him playing often show up on the internet, earning huge viewership on YouTube and other social media platforms. As such, he is already a media sensation, and with his performance, is often touted as the next big thing in basketball.
On the basketball court, LeBron James Jr.'s preferred position is point guard. He is able to score goals like his legendary father, and is also known for assisting his teammates. He has the remarkable ability of pinpoint passing and precision ball handling, and can also knock down the triple with proficiency. Even LeBron James told Cleveland.com that his son handles the ball exceptionally well and shoots it a lot better than him. However, his father, who was a former No.1 overall pick and a highly sought-after college basketball recruit, doesn't like the rumors surrounding his young son's recruitment. He is also unhappy about NCAA's interest in his son while he is still a kid. According to him, his "son is going to be a kid as long as he can be", and doesn't need to worry about recruitment at an age when he is supposed to worry about his homework.
