When Diamond White was 13 years old, her mother, suffering from scoliosis, had to go through a back surgery during which she was briefly clinically dead, but survived with the aid of her doctors. She later dedicated the song 'Because You Love Me' to her mother on the sets of ‘The X Factor’.

She next began voice acting by providing additional voices in the animated musical comedy television series ‘Phineas and Ferb’ (2010-14). In 2011, she also voice acted in the first feature-length film of the series, ‘Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension’.

She did a main voice role in the animated television series ‘Transformers: Rescue Bots’ (2011–2016). She voiced several characters, including Francine Greene who later became a main role, and Phonebot.

In 2012, she auditioned for ‘The X Factor’ in San Francisco, California and surprised the judges with her powerful rendition of the James Brown song ‘It's a Man's Man's Man's World’. She successfully made it to the bootcamp, where she passed both rounds performing the songs 'I Have Nothing' by Whitney Houston and 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' by Kelly Clarkson.

In the judges' home round, she was mentored by Britney Spears, and sang the Avril Lavigne song 'I'm With You'. She performed 'Hey, Soul Sister' during the first live show on October 31, 2012, and on November 1, 2012, was sent home after Spears chose her competitor Arin Ray following a sing-off.
