Christen Dominique

Christen Dominique was born on February 5, 1987, in Texas, USA. She is of mixed origin. After marrying Cesar Irias, she moved to Los Angeles. Most of her family members live in Houston. A year after her wedding, Christen became a proud mother of a baby boy. Christen and Cesar named their son, Jayden.

Christen has always been interested in make-up and fashion. She spent a major part of her childhood, watching fashion shows and make-up tutorials. Without any professional training, she acquired knowledge on make-up and started working on her skills. She finally decided to showcase her skills, and in February 2009, she created her self-titled YouTube channel.

Initially, she was hesitant about creating a channel as she was worried about her viewers’ reactions. But her channel became famous as soon as it was created, for her make-up methods were easy and required no special skills. Her first video was a tutorial on using lip liner and lipstick in order to make the lips appear plump.

As she improved her skills, her videos got better in terms of quality and information. She did a three-part video in which she reviewed a proactive acne solution. She actually used the product on herself to cure her acne. Next, she started posting a series of skincare routine which also included skincare routine for different seasons.

Christen then took her make-up skills to the next level when she started posting videos that taught her viewers a few make-up tricks to look like movie stars. She posted tutorials to look like Kylie Jenner, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry and many other stars. She became famous in India when she posted a make-up tutorial which was inspired by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s look at the Cannes Film Festival.

Among all her video series, the most popular series was titled as ‘Drugstore Makeup Tutorial’. In addition to that, she has done numerous make-up tutorials using minimal make-up products. She then posted several videos titled ‘Vampire Halloween Makeup Tutorial,’ ‘Monster High Frankie Stein Makeup Tutorial,’ ‘Joker Suicide Squad Makeup Tutorial,’ etc.
