Due to his excellence in sports, Fagerbakke received multiple offers for college football scholarships. He decided to attend the University of Idaho in Moscow, where he played as a defensive lineman for the Vandals. Though his athletic career was going quite well, it ended after he suffered a knee injury. He then began his acting career with a role in the play ‘Godspell’. He also pursued his further education at the Southern Methodist University.
