Revolutionizing Research with AI

China has launched a project called AI for Science to promote the use of artificial intelligence in frontier sci-tech research. The project focuses on solving key problems in basic disciplines and research needs in fields such as drug development, gene research, and biology breeding. The Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation of China jointly launched the project, which aims to strengthen the system layout and overall guidance to enhance innovation capabilities. The project also aims to create a national open innovation platform for the new generation of AI public computing power. Interdisciplinary research and development teams will be brought together to establish an innovation consortium and build international academic exchange platforms to offer solutions to common human scientific challenges.

It will also develop AI models and algorithms for major scientific problems, create platforms for typical research fields, and accelerate the construction of a national open innovation platform for the new generation of AI public computing power.

Additionally, interdisciplinary research and development teams will be brought together to promote the establishment of an innovation consortium. Furthermore, international academic exchange platforms will be built to offer solutions to common human scientific challenges such as cancer treatment and the climate crisis.
